The HALO Train the Trainer pathway supports trainers, managers and clinical educators to design and deliver IV cannulation, venepuncture and phlebotomy training using the VeinTrain system, HALO framework and reusable simulators.
This consultancy-based programme provides a flexible route into delivery, combining structured LIVE training, online learning and practical tools so you can begin delivering immediately without months of preparation or expensive simulation equipment.

Once you move into Bronze HALO, you unlock reduced pricing on simulators, eLearning and certificates. This continues through Silver and Gold, meaning delivery becomes more cost-effective as you scale.
Many trainers start with Train the Trainer or Premium, then step into HALO once they begin delivering, keeping initial costs lower while building confidence and demand.

HALO Taster – Trainer FAQ
Do I need experience to start?
No. Trainers come from clinical, academic and private backgrounds. This pathway supports both new and experienced educators.
Can I train a full class immediately?
Yes. The pack includes certificates and skills lab licences for up to 16 learners across two small teaching groups, so you can deliver IV cannulation, venepuncture and phlebotomy training straight away.
Do I need expensive simulation arms?
No. You receive a reusable VeinTrain simulator and access to the Online Skills Lab.
How long does the course take?
Most trainers complete the initial Train the Trainer steps in a few hours, then build their delivery over time.
Do learners get a certificate?
Yes. Completion of the curriculum leads to a VeinTrain certificate and a clinical competency record.
Can I upgrade to a full HALO Centre?
Yes. Progressing to Bronze HALO unlocks further support, reduced pricing and scaling options
Learner details
Course access is provided through the VeinTrain Online Academy on Thinkific. We set up each learner's account using the name and email address you give us, and we send sign-in details once your order is processed. If you are buying more than one place, please give us one learner name and email address per place, in the order notes box at checkout. For four or more places, please email the learner list to admin@veintrain.co.uk.
Sending to a hospital, clinic or large organisation?
If your kit is going to a building with a reception, post room or several departments, please tell us exactly where it should go. Include one of: FAO named person, department, reception, post room, training room, ward or service name, or site or building name. Without this, your kit may be delayed, misdirected or returned. If in doubt, use a home delivery address.
After your purchase
Access is delivered through the VeinTrain Online Academy on Thinkific. After your order is processed, we send your access and clear instructions for sharing places with your learners. If you have not received these within two working days, please email admin@veintrain.co.uk.
About your VeinTrain certificate
A VeinTrain certificate records course completion. It does not replace local employer competency sign-off, supervision, scope of practice or employer assurance.
